The journey

PREGNANCY

The Time of Becoming

Perhaps many things feel new right now – your body, your emotions, your questions and the little life growing inside you.

Pregnancy marks the beginning of a new chapter in your life. While your body creates new life, something within you begins to transform as well. You are becoming a mother, and a new version of yourself is beginning to emerge.

WHAT IS CHANGING?

Pregnancy is not only happening in your belly and your uterus. Your body is changing – and with it, your inner world, your relationships, your identity and the way you see life may begin to shift as well.

Perhaps you feel joy, excitement, love, uncertainty, fear – or even all of it at once. Everything all at once. Every emotion has a place.

You do not have to know yet who you will be as a mother. You can give yourself the space to discover yourself and meet the woman you are becoming.

BODY & EMOTIONS

A time when many things begin to move.

Your body is creating life. Your baby is growing, your belly is growing, your womb is growing – and perhaps your relationship with your own body is changing too.

At the same time, emotions can feel more intense. Joy and excitement can exist alongside doubts, fears, uncertainty or moments of feeling overwhelmed. You do not have to be happy all the time.

Perhaps this time is an invitation to listen to yourself more closely again: What do I need? What feels good to me? What wants to be heard?

A FAMILY IS BORN

With the arrival of a baby, it is not only your life that changes. Your relationships, priorities, dreams and the way you imagine your future may begin to shift as well. Family stories may resurface, new questions may arise, and there may be space to look at, bring order to and heal what needs to be tended to – creating more space and clarity for those who are about to arrive.

As you become a mother, your partner also begins their own journey into parenthood. Each of you experiences this transformation in your own way, and at the same time, something new begins to emerge between you.

A baby is not the only one being born. A mother is born, a father is born, and a family is born. Discovering a new way of being together, caring for one another, loving one another and walking through life together.

INTUITION

Perhaps this time is bringing you closer to yourself again – to your body, your needs, your boundaries and your inner voice.

You do not always have to know immediately what is right. Sometimes you can simply pause, feel and listen.

Perhaps, in that space, you will discover something within you that has been there for a long time and is now ready to be heard.

PREPARING FOR BIRTH

Not only: What do I need to know? But also: How do I want to feel? How do I want to give birth?

As pregnancy progresses, the desire to learn more about birth and prepare for this unique moment of transition may grow.

What do you want to know about birth? What possibilities are there? What do you need to feel safe? Who do you want by your side?

It is not about planning a perfect birth. It is about becoming informed, asking questions, making conscious decisions and developing trust in yourself and your own path.

PREGNANCY AS A RITE OF PASSAGE

Becoming, crossing the threshold, arriving.

Pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period can be understood as a profound transition in a woman’s life – a Rite of Passage. Something familiar changes while something new begins to emerge.

It is not about leaving the woman you have been behind, but about weaving everything you are together with what is newly coming to life within you.

From an archetypal perspective, this transition is described as the passage from the Maiden to the Mother: from freedom, discovery and becoming oneself towards creation, surrender and a new form of connection.

WHAT MIGHT THIS TIME BE FOR YOU?

Perhaps pregnancy is an invitation to slow down. To nourish yourself. To connect with yourself and your baby. To honour the life you have lived until now and look with curiosity towards what lies ahead.

Because with a baby, it is not only a new life that begins. Something new is also being born within you.

Perhaps this is exactly the moment to open yourself to it.
